UTA is a non-profit startup organization with the vision that every underprivileged individual should have access to a good life to live, through education, health care and livelihood.

UTA came in to being in May 2010 by Mrs. Nilima Jadhav. The organization was setup with the objective of promoting Community Development through Education, Health Awareness and Livelihood for the underprivileged.

Our main target is to provide Education; Skill based Training, Capacity Building, Health services and Livelihood and to the less privileged section, enabling them to be self dependent thus creating a social impact.

Vision: Every underprivileged individual should have access to a good life to live.
Mission: To enable the underprivileged to be uplifted from their poverty through Education,
Health care and livelihood.

We Believe: If we provide education, health care and livelihood resources that are lacking in the
communities then we transform the entire community creating a social impact.

What We Do?

Vocational Training - Learn 2 Earn Campaign

1. Computer Training Project:

Location: Matunga

Beneficiaries: 15 young women

Main objective: Training on Basic Microsoft Office, (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office Tools),

and Typing.

Project : Ongoing

Location: Dockyard

Beneficiaries: 15 young women

Main objective: Training on Basic Microsoft Office, (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Office Tools),

and Typing.

a. Jayshree Gondhale has got a job with shoppers stop.

b. Prachi has got a job with an IT company.

2. Adult Literacy - Aashayein

Location: Palghar and Wada.

Beneficiaries: Illiterate Advises.

Time Line: Jan 2011 – Dec 2011 (1st pilot batch.)

Main objective: Educate atleast 150 Adivasis to read and write by the end of the year. Trained

5 Adivasis (literate) for this project. Each person will train 30 illiterate people, together reaching

150 people.

Partners: Mumbai Diocesan Council.

Objective of the project:-

Developing an ability to think critically.

Fostering decision making and action through collective processes.

Enable to make informed choices in areas like education, Employment and health.

Ensuring equal participation in developmental processes.

Providing information, knowledge and skill for economic independence.

4. Income Generating Project

In the initial stage of income generating projects, enabling the beneficiaries to generate income.

Making the following products:-

Gift Boxes – specially gifting for Corporate, Diwali etc.
