AID Delhi Chapter - Regular School Education Program (RSEP)
Regular School Education Program (RSEP)
At AID we believe that the opportunity must be provided to all who deserve it. Via the educational projects in Gurgaon we reach out to a number of children and provide them the elementary education so that they are able to perform basic literary tasks in day to day life.
The Need..
Over the years we have realized that as we infuse the initial light of education amongst the children, a few exceptionally bright and motivated students are always there who want to learn new things at higher levels. We realized that due to our current scale (one classroom per project), we are not able to do justice to their potential and that was when we devised the RSEP. Under this program, we identify the most deserving students in our projects and get them admitted into regular private schools in Gurgaon. This is designed to give them a very good environment for growing and learning so that they have a chance to look beyond the current horizons set by their family, peer group and community.
After these admissions are complete in March-April timeframe, the process continues as in any regular school. Volunteers at AID remain in constant touch with the students and school authorities to track the progress of the students.
Funding
For funding the education of students, AID reaches out to its volunteers and volunteers reach out to their friends whenever the admission process is to start. This usually happens during Feb-March. The amount required to fund one year of education sums up to around INR 5000. The exact amount varies from year to year. In case you are interested to provide funds for full/half sponsorship of any student, please contact the AID Gurgaon coordinators. In case the admissions are complete and you are interested, you can pledge for supporting the next one year of any student. AID volunteers will get back to you during the next admission cycle.
