An appeal to support most depressed communities

 
Salt worker is a most neglected community living in coastal Tamilnadu. Because of its unorganized nature, and because of discrimination, they live under the kludges of extreme poverty condition. FACE is a NGO started working with community in 2004 December (after tsunami). Through their strategic approaches empowering community owned process, FACE had facilitated community obtaining little light on various issues. OXFAM, UNDP, KINDERHILFSWERK, CARE are some of the shoulders support the whole efforts in the past.
The community facilitated by FACE had started creating replicable impacts in many fields. The recognitions by outstanding performer's awards for FACE and community organizations promoted by FACE and year of the women award to Ms.Anjammal, the Deputy Chair person of the union in 2007 are some of the evidences. The funding requirement to address continuing challenges in the intervention had made us come here and approach   generous and responsible humanist through this forum. We have been selected by the GlobalGiving Foundation to participate in its Open Challenge, a fundraising opportunity for nonprofit organizations working around the world.
