GiveIndia is holding an online fundraising event called The India Tax Saving Challenge. The event encourages NGOs to reach out to donors for their year-end donations and get rewarded for their efforts in turn through additional funds that can be won as prizes in different categories of fundraising during the course of the event. There's over Rs. 16 lacs to won!

 

Event dates: February 21st - March 22nd, 2012
Eligibility: You must be a GiveIndia tier I or II listed organisation. Or get listed as one. ( You can get listed in 5 days; the sooner you do so, the more prizes you can take advantage of.)

 

We encourage you to participate if your organisation:

- Has a base of retail donors 
- Is willing to put in the effort to reach out to donors 

- Would like to receive additional funds for your regular year-end donations

P.S. - This will be a great learning experience in online retail fundraising. Recommended for NGOs wanting to get their strategy right for the even bigger online fundraising event - the India Giving Challenge - to be held in September-October 2012.
