People are interested in environmental benefits but with rising price of oil and other fossil fuels, entrepreneurs are looking at greener technologies from profitability perspective. Probably thats the difference between earlier "green" drives and this one.

Nice roundup of alternative energy, Lalit. I wonder if there would be "energy harvesting" kinds of devices in every home in the future, similar to rain-water harvesting in Chennai?
if solar technology can become lil cheaper, cells can be laid over the roof and can take care of most of the energy needs... i wonder if we can have wind mill too on roofs specially at places near sea shore, where wind is abundant...
