INDIANNS: INDIA-The National NGO Survey

An Initiative By 'Touching Lives Welfare Trust'

Since 1775, the NGO Movement has made efforts to enlist the lives of people. However the movement gathered momentum in 1950s and is growing by leaps bounds. Since then volunteerism has been one of the roots of any country's progress and nationhood, one of the seeds of spark in hearts of people.

Today, where we stand in terms of making a difference is something that we need to look at. What we have achieved so far, how our Nation is progressing over the years and how we should be proud to gather courage for our vision ahead is something that we need to look into. What works and what not, what helps and what not is something of great information that we need to understand. With millennium ahead , with passionate hearts, and with up-coming rife of social entrepreneurs, and with much to be done for the Nation yet, we the NGOs needs to get together to have ourselves contribute to the information for excellence in one's service and dedication.

Today, we NGOs need to glance over the work we have done so far, where have our hearts and minds reached what each state of our country is doing, and how we can with our resources help them, how we can extend our help from where we are is what we are initiating.

INDIANNS: INDIA-NATIONAL NGO SURVEY, a nation-wide initiative which would help form a foundation for our projects from 2008. The National NGO Survey is a survey of NGOs pan India especially designed for us, the NGOs to understand ourselves and to understand the outcome of our help.

Your participation will contribute to know:

1. The work/progress done so far since years by the NGOs category-wise that is in areas of function; education, health, human rights, entertainment, sports, micro-finance, agriculture, women etc.
2. The work/progress done so far since years by the NGOs state-wise, i.e. the information about the state and its progress in various fields.
3. An open networking of resource center where the NGOs can extend their services to other NGOs.
4. It is not only a data-directory, but the information of the actual work and the degree of work done.
5. A Global platform for the NGOs to share and to build –up the spirit of humanity and conscience.

I REQUEST EACH NGO ACROSS INDIA TO TAKE THE RESPONSIBILTY OF PARTICIPATING IN THE SURVEY AND CONTRIBUTE TO OUR OWN FUTURE OF WORK AND TO THE NATION.

Subject: Giving Survey

At GiveIndia, we're constantly trying to better the services that we offer to our donors. And what better way to do so than by asking all you donors how your experience with us has been. Wouldn't you agree?

So, we've set up a survey, which, we'd really appreciate if you spared a few moments, to fill up. This survey will help us understand donor behavior as well as giving patterns. And help us, in turn, to offer the right services to you.

It's totally anonymous - so do feel free to share absolutely anything that you'd like to.

To take the survey, please vist: http://www.giveindia.org/survey
