Subject: Support a library
Dear All,
MelJol, the NGO I work with, has been given space in a municipal school building to start a library for the kids.
I was at Bookaroo last week and was talking to the publisher of Tulika books; she agreed to give me a 45 per cent discount on the book prices for the library.
The total cost of the books is about Rs 19,000. I'd like multiple copies because books get a little worn out when children use them. So I'm looking for about a lakh so I can buy five copies of each book.
Would you care to help?
Would you care to support a publisher who is trying to develop good strong Indian content and at the same time bring the magic of those stories to underprivileged children?
If you do, make a cheque to MELJOL with your name and address and with a note
saying: For the library at Gildlerlane Municipal School. You will of course get the tax benefits as well.
