Unitus Inc., an International Non Profit Organization,(www.unitus.com) has entered into collaboration with Partners in Prosperity Society (PnP) ( www.pnpindia.org) , the non-profit arm of Uttarakhand-based Mimo Finance, to pilot an innovative social protection scheme. Ultra Poor Project is a socially sensitive venture which aims to graduate clients to able to run sustainable livelihoods- and potentially into mainstream microfinance. PnP has identified Dehradun city of Uttarakhand, India, having large no of ultra Poor Population. These Families are working in the unorganized sector. They earn less than $ 2 / day and excluded from traditional microfinance & current government schemes & programs.

PnP plans to build a platform for these semi-urban destitute whereby they can directly, and sustainably, link into government-sponsored programs. 

Responsibilities

• Helping design the program components for ultra poor program including selection of Ultra poor households, identifying income generating activities that can be started, providing other support such as financial education, health education & skill development etc.
• Working with the community to select ultra poor households, identify their needs and monitor delivery of services during the program
• Leading efforts on process documentation and impact assessment along with PnP team.
