iVolunteer Institute of Volunteer Management(IIVM) announces the
“Volunteer Management Workshop (VMW) 2012”, to be held on the 2nd & 3rd of March, 2012.
India’s social and rural development needs are unquestionably substantial; however, iVolunteer believes that the answer lies with its people. Volunteers through their skills and expertise can make a significant difference in meeting our social, especially rural developmental needs.
iVolunteer is a social enterprise whose mission is to bring volunteers and organisations together to share time skills and passion, to promote India’s social development.
Over the last decade, iVolunteer has expanded its reach to over 300 organisations in India and over 45 countries globally. Currently with an all India presence in 7 major cities, engaging 1000 active volunteers at any given time, iVolunteer is one of the largest and most successful volunteering initiatives in India.
iVolunteer Institute of Volunteer Management (IIVM) was established to build the capacity of development organizations in the field of volunteer management and training and engage volunteers for maximum impact. The first initiative of its kind, IIVM has organized over 100 volunteer management workshops, and trained over 500 professionals from the social development sector in India and overseas.
About the Workshop:
iVolunteer invites you to send one or more representatives from your organisation to participate in this unique workshop. The workshop aims at bringing together organisations in the developmental sector who would like to explore opportunities to manage volunteers more effectively.
Key Objectives of the Workshop:
a) Identifying key components of a successful volunteer management programme
b) Determining the different aspects of volunteering and voluntary action
c) Sharing learning, experiences and best practices in volunteer management
This two day interactive workshop will encourage participants to share their professional and personal volunteering experiences; and they will be supported with a workshop manual, checklists & models, forms for volunteers, briefs about volunteer induction and many more such inputs.
