Parul
Gupta
Co-founder and Executive
Director
Parul is a co-founder of NGO Post and
handles several
responsibilities from product design to establishing relationships with
collaborators. Prior to this, she worked closely with several
non-profit
organizations in India
related to education, child welfare and health and disabilities in a
variety of
roles including event organization, fundraising as well as spreading
awareness.
It was these experiences that contributed to a keen understanding of
the
challenges different groups face while working towards similar goals,
possible
solutions and avenues for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
She holds a Bachelor of Technology from IIT Bombay and Masters of
Science from University of California
Los Angeles, both in Electrical
engineering.

Nitin Gupta
Co-founder and Director,
Technology
Nitin has a long-standing
interest in web-applications and
social work, which come together beautifully in NGO Post. He has prior
experience
in building small websites and applications, including HindiKalam.com, a
popular online transliteration tool from English to Hindi. As a
founding member
of Shiksha Sopan in Kanpur
(India)
and Udai at San Diego (USA), he has been
involved in several service-related
projects, including collaborations with non-profit organizations in India
and US.
Nitin is currently a PhD candidate in
bioinformatics at University
of California, San
Diego, and holds a bachelors in computer science
from
IIT Kanpur. He is also a passionate squash player.

Aneesh
Subramaniam
Director, International
Relations
Aneesh, a native of Bangalore, received a bachelor of technology degree
from IIT Madras in 2004. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in climate
research at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, U.C. at San Diego. It
was at U.C SD where he met Nitin and Parul and got an avenue to work on
what had been his long standing interests of enabling the power of the
internet to reach and change the society for its benefit. He has been
involved in some service activities like teach high school students and
help in the penetration of technology to the rural sector in a
sustainable way.

Rajesh
Golani
Director, Youth Engagement
Actual name Rajesh Golani a.k.a Goli. Passed
out of IIT Madras, India,
in 2002 with BTech in Electrical Engineering. Worked as Hardware
Engineer in
Tejas Networks, and then at Elina Networks. Recently moved to Xilinx in Technical Marketing.
Apart from work, interested in reading, writing, guitar'ing and
travelling.
Maintains a personal blog here.
Writes monthly for a NGO magazine called Sattva.

Anupama
Garg
Director, Resources
Anupama is the Director, Resources of NGO Post and her role is mainly
related to raising funds for NGO Post through different avenues. She
has
frequently been associated with NGO related work,
ranging from child education to organising events for the unprivileged.
NGO Post has given her opportunity to contribute to the society in yet
another way.
She holds a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engg. and Masters in
Microelectronics from IIT Bombay. Having worked in the corporate world,
she is currently exploring her interests as a Freelance consultant in
Mumbai. She maintains a blog, with one purpose being,
spreading awareness about ways in which a common man can contribute to
the environment and society.

Prateek
Sharma
Director, Web Strategies
Prateek likes lurking in the dark alleys of
the web and bragging about his latest finds. He believes that
technology has the power to bring positive social change and he is
excited about discovering new ways to use the web for a public
movement. In the past, he has volunteered for a number of non-profit
organizations.
He also likes reading poetry and prose, watching random movies and
singing classic rock and ghazals. In the remaining time, he does
marketing for a telecom product company. He has a degree in Electrical
Engineering from IIT-Bombay.

Ameet
Deshpande
Director, Online Communities
Native of Pune, Ameet is a doctoral student
in Mechanical
Engg. at UC SanDiego. Before coming to USA,
he was working for GE Research in Bangalore, India for
two years. He completed his Batchelor's in mechanical Engineering from
IIT Bombay. He is avidly interested in renewable/sustainable
technologies, hobby electronics, and developmental economics. As a pet
project, he also likes to muse about morality, and game theory! Ameet
is an active member of Udai
San Diego.

Niket
Sourabh
Director, Media Relations
Niket has extensive experience in running
volunteer efforts.
He has been a regular volunteer for the San Diego
chapter of Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and has chaired
several
committees for organization of their multi-million dollar fundraisers.
Born and raised in India,
Niket moved to Southern california in 2002
after
securing his undergraduate degree in engineering from IIT Kanpur. After
a brief
stop at University of California,
Los Angeles for
graduate studies,
he joined Nokia for development of high end
cellphones. He is currently employed at Qualcomm,
working on
navigation solutions for cellphone chipsets.

Himanshu
Khatri
On Sabbatical!
Himanshu is currently a PhD candidate in the
Electrical and
Computer Engineering at the University
of California San Diego
working on
radio frequency integrated circuits. He holds a Bachelor of Technology
in Electrical
Engineering from IIT Kanpur and Masters of Science from University
of California San Diego.
Before
joining UCSD, he worked in a Noida based technology startup, Atrenta India
developing software products for VLSI CAD.
Himanshu is involved in social
welfare
projects through Udai
San Diego, promoting awareness and providing technological support
to
non-profit organization. Currently, he is handling international
relationship
at NGO Post.
